Payments and payment policy

It’s time to talk money. And when you get it.

You may request payment once your account has accumulated $25.

Helium makes payments twice a month, on the 15th and the last day of the month. To be paid on the 15th or the last day of the month, request payment before midnight GMT on the day before you wish to receive payment. Helium pays into PayPal accounts by the end of the day on payment days.

NOTE: The “Request Payment” button will be inactive until you have the necessary $25 in your account.

If you have not already done so, you must fill out the required contact information on your “Account Settings” page before you request a payment for the first time.

Setting up your PayPal account

Helium uses PayPal because it’s quick and easy, as well as the largest and most-trusted web-based payment system.

There are two possibilities regarding setting up a PayPal account at Helium. You can set up your own account through PayPal or Helium.

Through PayPal:

  • Go to PayPal and create an account for yourself there.
  • Return to Helium.com. Click on “My Helium” in the red horizontal navigation bar. From there, navigate to “Account Settings” in the left-hand navigation.
  • Next, click on the “Payment Options” tab.
  • Add your PayPal account information.
  • Consider things taken care of.

Through Helium:

  • Click on “My Helium” in the red horizontal navigation bar. From there, navigate to “Account Settings” in the left-hand navigation.
  • Next, click on the “Payment Options” tab.
  • Enter an account name, which references your Helium PayPal account, and the email address you want associated with your new PayPal account. When you request your first payment from Helium, PayPal will invite you to open an account.
