How does a member become eligible for a group and receive assignments in the restricted area?
Group membership is determined by a number of criteria. The best way to become eligible for channel-specific group membership is to write high quality articles in that channel. Marketplace Premier and Marketplace Approved writers also have access to those specific restricted groups.
Are assignments paid or are they revenue share only?
The assignment system offers a variety of incentive paying titles as well as revenue share only titles. The payment is indicated in the “Payment” column; the displayed dollar value will be awarded to the member whose article is chosen for purchase and an “RS” indicates the assignment is for revenue share only.
What does “RS” in the payment column mean?
“RS” signifies the assignment is revenue share only; Helium will pay the writer based on the number of pageviews their article receives.
How many writers per assignment will earn the incentive payment?
One member per assignment will earn the incentive payment. The other submissions, if accepted, will transition to Helium.com, along with the article that earned the incentive payment.
Will incentive paying titles earn revenue share?
Yes, in addition to the incentive payment, the article is also eligible to earn revenue share.
How are articles chosen to earn the incentive payment?

Is there a limit as to how many assignments a member can claim?
A member may claim up to 5 assignments at a time. Before claiming another assignment, a member must either withdraw from an assignment or write to one of the claimed assignments. Then, the member may immediately claim another assignment – there is no delay.
Is there a limit as to how many members can claim the same assignment?
Each assignment has a unique limit to the number of submissions allowed. To view an assignment’s submission limit, click on “show details” to the right of the title name.
Can a member view how many other members have accepted an assignment?
No. The assignment system displays the number of submissions each assignment allows, but it does not display how many members have accepted an assignment.
